Audrey Koay is the Executive Director, Patient Safety and Clinical Quality within the Clinical Excellence Division at the Western Australian Department of Health. She provides system level leadership for patient safety, clinical governance, quality improvement, accreditation, and regulatory assurance across the WA health system, working closely with health service providers and national partners to strengthen safety and quality outcomes. Dr Koay has extensive experience leading complex safety, quality, and regulatory reform initiatives, with a strong focus on translating national standards and policy into effective, practical implementation; and in the use of data to inform clinical practice to reduce variation and embed evidence into what we do.
