Hi, my name is Yusef Hafez. I’m a fourth-year medical student at Macquarie University with a strong interest in surgery, research, and surgical education. Alongside my studies, I’m involved in student leadership through the Australasian Students’ Surgical Association, the Macquarie University Surgical Society, and the Macquarie University Medical Society, where I support academic initiatives and research engagement among medical students. I enjoy contributing to research across a range of surgical subspecialties and value work that is clinically relevant and evidence based. I’m grateful for the opportunity to present at this conference in Perth and to learn from the breadth of experience within the surgical community.
