My name is Sumana Cikaluru and I am a Principal House Officer in ENT at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. During my time as a PHO in the ENT head and neck department, I was heavily involved in the weekly multidisciplinary meetings for cancer patients which is where my interest in this topic arose. I hope to highlight how the integration of multiple disciplines has shaped modern practice and to reflect on the importance of collaboration as both a scientific necessity and professional skill for surgeons in training.
