Dr Rhys Filgate, BMedSci, MBBS (Hons), FRACS is a specialist colorectal surgeon based in Perth, Western Australia, working across both public and private sectors. He trained in colorectal surgery through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand and has extensive experience in minimally invasive, robotic and laparoscopic colorectal procedures. He is the lead surgeon in the state wide Pelvic Exenteration Service at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. His subspecialty interests include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and management of recurrent and advanced pelvic malignancy.
