Prof Rebecca Ryznar
Professional Bio
Dr. Rebecca Ryznar is a molecular biologist, educator, and researcher at Rocky Vista University, where she directs the Physician Scientist Track and teaches courses in the preclinical medical curriculum in molecular biology for medical students and Master of Biomedical Sciences students. Her scholarly work has long focused on stress biology, epigenetics, and the molecular mechanisms of resilience. More recently, she has expanded this work through collaboration with trauma surgeons to investigate how psychoneuroimmunology may influence recovery after traumatic injury, as well as the health and resilience of trauma care providers. She is passionate about translational science, interdisciplinary collaboration, research mentorship, and connecting molecular mechanisms to clinical outcomes.
