I am currently a non-training surgical registrar at Palmerston North Hospital in New Zealand. I grew up in Zambia and then moved to study medicine at the University of Otago (Dunedin, NZ). I started my medical career in Whanganui before moving to Palmerston North to widen my exposure to different general surgical subspecialties, such as upper gastrointestinal surgery and vascular surgery. I enjoy working within rural communities and I plan to return to work in rural New Zealand after I have finished training.
