Neil Wetzig is President of the Permanent Council of the Global Alliance for Surgical, Obstetrics, Trauma and Anaesthesia Care (The G4 Alliance) He is Emeritus Senior Surgeon at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia, and ‘Consultant and Advisor of Surgical Training Programs’ at HEAL Africa Hospital in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, whom he represents at the G4 Alliance. He remains a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) International Engagement Committee. He chairs the G4 Alliance Operative Encounter Registry Working Group developing a minimum dataset of operative care to be used for advocacy and quality improvement.
