Dr. Nathanael Leavy is a Kooma man and Junior Doctor currently serving as an ENT PHO at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. With a strong interest in pursuing SET training in ENT surgery, Nathanael began his surgical career in General Surgery at Caboolture Hospital. It was there that he and his supervisor, Dr. Ryo Mizumoto, initiated the project being presented today, which analyzes autofluorescence technology in thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Dr. Leavy is also a Master of Philosophy candidate at the UQ, where he is engaged with a paediatric research group examining novel mechanisms of bacterial resistance in OM.
