Mingchun is a resident doctor at Wollongong Hospital in NSW who is passionate about addressing healthcare disparities and advocating for equitable health outcomes through surgical practice. She was president of Wollongong Hospital resident medical officer association that organised social and wellbeing events and advocated for fellow junior doctors. She was also vice president of the prevocational Australasian surgical society. Mingchun has also been involved in many research projects since medical school and presented at the RACS conference 2025.
