Greetings, my name is Michelle Chiam, and I am an unaccredited General Surgery Registrar at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. I graduated from Monash University Malaysia in 2021 and completed my junior medical training in North Queensland. I have interest in hepatobiliary and upper gastrointestinal surgery and am passionate about supporting and growing the community of women in surgery, particularly as a Southeast Asian female. Alongside my colleagues, I am involved in clinical research examining the management of choledocholithiasis in the Sunshine Coast population and am excited to present our findings with the aim of improving care for our local community.
