Matt Irwin is a general surgeon completing his final year of subspecialty colorectal training. Matt has a strong commitment to patient advocacy, evidence-based practice and sustainable healthcare delivery. Matt's mentoring of junior doctors has earned him multiple teaching awards at the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney where he coordinates postgraduate surgical courses. His research has been presented at national and international meetings and published in leading peer-reviewed journals. Matt recently received the Medtronic Travel Fellowship and CSSANZ Research Prize.
