Mark is currently the sole vascular surgeon for the NT, with responsibility for service provision for the NT, the upper eastern 1/3 of WA and the northern part of SA through Alice Springs. He has been in the NT for 12 years, and at various times has had a colleague, but is currently flying solo in one of the most remote vascular surgery hospitals in Australasia. He works closely with General Surgeons in providing care for the people of the NT and has a unique insight into how generalists can be important in providing a vascular surgery service in a limited resource setting.
