A surgical SRMO in Wagga, Dr Kyle Green has a strong interest in General Surgery and the provision of high-quality surgical care and medical education in rural areas. As a junior researcher, Kyle was awarded the Anaesthesia Intensive Care Best Paper Award for his RCT investigating pain relief after laparoscopic surgery, and is a conjoint lecturer with the UNSW. Today he presents a recent topical review on antimicrobial use in laparoscopic cholecystectomy and the stewardship implications in the era of growing antimicrobial resistance.
