Jacinta Cover is a WA-trained rural general surgeon. She is Head of Department and Medical Co-Director of Surgical, Paediatric and Maternity Services for WA Country Health Service South West at Bunbury Hospital. Dr Cover has a strong interest in teaching, training, audit and governance. She is the WA representative for the rural surgical section RACS and previous vice chair of the section. Dr Cover recently received the 2026 WA Rural Health Excellence Award for Specialist of the Year. She has been the ANZELA site lead for Bunbury Hospital for the past 5 years and is a member of the new ANZELA-QI management committee.
