Dr Danette Wright is a general and colorectal surgeon with subspecialty interests in intestinal failure, inflammatory bowel disease and complex abdominal wall construction. She completed general surgical training and CSSANZ Colorectal Fellowship in Australia and further post-fellowship training in complex colorectal surgery (intestinal failure and inflammatory bowel disease) and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction in the United Kingdom. Dr Wright is the Head of Department of General Surgery at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital, the Clinical Network Director for Surgery for Western Sydney Local Health District and Chair RACS NSW State Committee. She has an interest in surgical quality and safety and has a number of surgical specialty committee roles with the Clinical Excellence Commission.
