Azra is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons with extensive experience in trauma and general surgery. She has completed Surgical Education and Training (SET) in Australia and holds a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney. In 2026, she will commence work as a Surgical Staff Specialist and Trauma Fellow at Coffs Harbour Hospital. Dr Tabassum has completed trauma fellowships at major tertiary centres in NSW, including St George Hospital. She is actively involved in teaching, research, and supervision, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and national and international conference presentations.
