Ahmad is a Melbourne based Upper GI / Bariatric Surgeon. He is Head of Upper GI Surgery at the Austin Hospital, and Clinical Associate Professor University of Melbourne. Clinical interests include benign / malignant upper GI disease and bariatric surgery with a bariatric practice encompassing primary and complex revisional bariatric surgery and endotherapeutic techniques. He is a strong advocate for equity of access of Bariatric Surgery in public hospitals. Ahmad has served as President of ANZMOSS, was a foundational board member of ANZGOSA and is currently the President of the APC Chapter of IFSO.
