Agneta Geldenhuys is a South African trained cardiothoracic and transplant surgeon who moved to Australia. She initially worked in the busiest trauma and transplant surgery centre in Africa establishing the first retrieval and trauma ECMO service in sub-Sahara Africa, then completed a transplant fellowship at The Alfred hospital in Melbourne and now enjoys performing complex adult cardiac, thoracic and transplant surgery as part of a multifaceted Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth. She has a passion for teaching and training, serves as the RACS supervisor of training for FSH and has recently been added to the Court of RACS examiners.
